Last updated: January 2026
CommunityLeague ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have over it. By using CommunityLeague, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information we collect
We collect the following types of information:
- Account information — your name and email address when you create an account.
- League and competition data — league names, team names, player names, match results, and other content you create on the platform.
- Player information — names and email addresses of players added to teams, provided by the team or league organiser.
- Usage data — pages visited, features used, and general interaction with the platform, collected anonymously to help us improve the service.
- Payment information — if payments are made through the platform, they are processed by Paystack. We do not store card or bank details on our servers.
2. How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and operate the CommunityLeague platform
- Send account-related emails such as registration confirmations and notifications
- Allow league owners to manage teams, fixtures, and standings
- Display public league pages to anyone with the link
- Improve and debug the platform based on usage patterns
- Respond to support requests and enquiries
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising purposes.
3. Public information
League pages, team names, player names, standings, and match results on CommunityLeague are publicly visible to anyone with the league link. If you add a player to a team, their name may appear on the public page.
Email addresses are never displayed publicly. Only league organisers can see the email addresses of team leads and registered players within their league.

All third-party providers are bound by their own privacy policies and data processing agreements.
5. Data retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or financial record-keeping purposes.

8. Children's privacy
CommunityLeague is not directed at children under the age of 13. If you are a school or youth organisation adding player information, you are responsible for ensuring you have the appropriate consent from parents or guardians before entering any personal information about minors.
